ChemoxyCare® 6 is a multi-functional ingredient, moisturizer, and solvent.
It is a high purity 1,2-Alkanediol that is very safe and effective as a moisturizer with broad spectrum anti-microbial activity; with limited endocrine disrupting effect.
ChemoxyCare® 6 can be combined with low doses of preservatives like Phenoxyethanol, Iodopropynyl Butyl Carbamate or acid based preservatives like Sorbate, Benzoate and Dehydroacetate for effective preservation of personal care formulations free of parabens or iodine. It accordingly, helps reduce/eliminate preservatives like Parabens, Formaldehyde-donors or Phenoxyethanol.
ChemoxyCare® 6 is recommended to be used at concentrations of 1.0% w/w to 3.0% w/w. When used in emulsions, should be added at the post-emulsification stage, to enhance their availability at the water/oil interface. ChemoxyCare® 6 is also soluble in oils and may be used in anhydrous formulas.
